how to find viral topics with search tools & AI

Hey there, solopreneur!

You ever see a viral post online and try to emulate it, only for it to flop harder than the most dramatic football (soccer) players?

Like no matter how much effort you put into crafting the perfect headline or finding the most eye-catching image...

For some reason, it still fails to gain any traction?

Iā€™ve been there too many times to count.

And itā€™s probably the most infuriating thing Iā€™ve encountered as a content creator.

That is, until I stopped guessing in the dark and discovered the power of search data.

"Virality isn't an accident. It's engineered."

Jonah Berger, marketing professor and author

Today, we'll talk about how to leverage AI and search data to consistently generate viral content ideas that your audience can't help but engage with.

You'll learn:

  • The key ingredients that distinguish average content from content that goes viral

  • The "Viral Idea Illuminator" prompt for finding the most popular questions people are asking about your niche

  • How to turn these questions into irresistible content ideas that drive massive engagement

Letā€™s. Go. Viral. šŸ¤æ

How I went from 0 to 100k followers in 65 days

9 months ago, I lost almost my entire net worth in the FTX scam.

But through consistent content creation and the use of AI, I was able to financially and mentally get back on my feet again in record time.

Thatā€™s why I built the AI Audience Accelerator.

This course will teach you:

  • How to create a week's worth of content in 1 hour

  • AI systems that skyrocketed my audience growth

  • How to create content that sounds like YOU

1880+ AI-powered solopreneurs have joined the course and their reviews have been incredible.

Why Search Data Is the Secret to Consistently Creating Viral Content

You might be tempted to rely on your gut instinct when it comes to creating content.

After all, you know your audience better than anyone, right?

But here's the harsh reality:

What you think your audience wants to see and what they actually engage with can be two very different things.

Imagine this scenario:

You spend hours brainstorming what you believe is the perfect viral post idea.

You craft a clever headline, find a stunning image, and hit publish with bated breath, waiting for the likes and shares to come rolling in.

But instead of going viral, your post is met with crickets.

Meanwhile, your competitor's seemingly random post about a topic you never would have thought to cover is blowing up.

What gives?

The answer lies in search data.

When people have a question or problem, where's the first place they turn?

Google.

By tapping into the most popular questions people are searching for related to your niche, you can create content that directly addresses their needs and interests.

It's like having a crystal ball that tells you exactly what your audience is craving.

Here are a few real-world examples:

  • A fitness influencer noticed a surge in searches for "at-home workouts without equipment" during the pandemic. They created a series of bodyweight exercise videos that went viral, attracting millions of views and thousands of new subscribers.

  • A travel influencer noticed a growing interest in "solo female travel safety tips." They made a series of posts and videos sharing their top advice, which resonated with their audience and led to increased engagement and bookings for their travel planning services.

  • A tech YouTuber spotted a trend in searches for "best budget smartphones under $500." They made a video comparing the top options, which quickly became one of their most popular and highest-converting videos to date.

When you give the people what they want, they can't help but sit up, take notice, and smash that share button.

But sifting through endless search data to find those golden content ideas?

Luckily, AI does.

And when we combine it with a handy tool called Answer The Public, generating viral content ideas becomes a breeze.

Let me show you howā€¦

HOW IT CAN HELP YOUR BUSINESS:
  • Dramatically boost your engagement and reach by creating content that resonates with your audience on a deep level

  • Establish yourself as the go-to authority in your niche by consistently delivering valuable, relevant content

  • Save time and brainpower by letting AI do the heavy lifting of ideation for you

The ā€œViral Idea Illuminatorā€ Prompt

This prompt helps you generate 20+ viral content ideas, backed by the most popular searched for questions on Google related to your niche:

I want you to help me find viral topic ideas for my social media posts.

For context on me, my business, and the type of content I write, here's more background info:

[INSERT CONTEXT]

I've attached an image of a wheel which includes the most searched for questions about [INSERT TOPIC].

Based on this attached image, I want you to come up with 20 viral content ideas based on these questions on the wheel.

Never use colons, semicolons, or hashtags.

HOW TO USE THE ā€œVIRAL IDEA ILLUMINATORā€ PROMPT:

  1. Visit answerthepublic.com and create a free account. This website is a gold mine for discovering what people are actually asking about across the internet. Itā€™s perfect for finding viral ideas, backed by hard data.

  2. Search for your niche in 1-2 words.

    • Example: I used ā€œChatGPTā€

  3. Click ā€œDOWNLOAD IMAGEā€ to download an image of the wheel with the most popular search results on your niche.

  4. Upload this image along with the copy-pasted prompt to Claude or ChatGPT (I prefer Claudeā€™s outputs for this prompt).

    • Example of my wheel image:

  5. Fill in the [INSERT CONTEXT] placeholder with context about yourself and who you are. (If youā€™ve done the AI Audience Accelerator, write /context to use your pre-written context).

  6. Input the topic you searched for on Answer the Public where it says [INSERT TOPIC].

  7. Press ENTER.

Hereā€™s an example of viral topic ideas it gave me in the output:

These are all fantastic ideas ā€” I actually plan to use some of them for a few upcoming threads.

  • How to turn these questions into irresistible content ideas that drive massive engagement

It's crazy to think that just a year ago, I was posting content with no real rhyme or reason.

Just hoping things would stick.

But now, with the power of AI and data-driven insights, I realize how dumb I was being (lol).

If youā€™re trying to crack the content business, you should treat it like a real business.

And that means using real data to inform your content decisions.

Anyways, after a few hectic weeks in the US, Iā€™m finally back in Europe.

Iā€™m always happy if you can reply to this email with feedback as it helps me to make the newsletter as helpful as possible :)

Keep diving,

Ole
