🐙 My secret "Auto-DM Funnel"
a simple, innovative X strategy NOBODY is using
Hey there, solopreneur!
Today’s newsletter edition will be a little more unique than the others.
I’ve been testing this simple, innovative strategy on X lately (one that I don’t see anybody else doing).
To my delight, it’s yielded me phenomenal results.
I call it “The Auto-DM Funnel,” and it’s been game-changing for growing both my social media following and email list.
The best part?
If you already write a newsletter, it only takes a few minutes of added effort to set up.
"Social media is about the people! Not about your business. Provide for the people and the people will provide for you."
Today, you’ll learn:
Why Auto-DMs are so effective for growing your audience (plus how to set them up properly)

How I Gained 100K Followers in Under 3 Months
As someone who's built a thriving online business from scratch, I know firsthand how game-changing the right strategies can be.
After losing nearly everything in the FTX crypto collapse, I was determined to rebuild stronger than ever.
That's when I discovered the power of AI for content creation.
By leveraging AI tools and frameworks, I was able to:
Create a week's worth of high-quality content in just 1 hour
Skyrocket my audience growth to 100K followers in 65 days
Generate content that authentically resonated with my ideal audience
The results were so transformative that I knew I had to share my strategies with fellow solopreneurs.
And so, The AI Audience Accelerator was born.
Why Auto-DMs are the Ultimate Hack for Explosive Growth
You’ve probably experienced this:
You're scrolling through your X feed, minding your own business, when a tweet catches your eye.
It promises to solve your biggest challenge with a mind-blowing AI mega-prompt — all you have to do is like, comment, and follow.
Perhaps you might’ve seen this from my very own Auto-DM’s:
I built an AI system to help you steal content like an artist.
Just feed it a viral post you want to emulate & it'll give you 3 new pieces of content inspired by it.
This strategy has helped me achieve 155M+ views on X & LinkedIn.
Want it? Like & comment "Steal" — I'll DM you.

Intrigued, you take the bait and perform the CTA.
And moments later, a personalized DM lands in your inbox, delivering you the mega-prompt for FREE, and making you feel like the most special snowflake in the Twitterverse.
That, my friend, is the magic of Auto-DMs.
Since implementing this Auto-DM funnel strategy 2 months ago, I’ve converted over 1,800 newsletter subscribers from auto-DM’s alone.
BY LEVERAGING AUTO-DMS IN YOUR X STRATEGY, YOU:
Cut through the noise and grab your audience's attention with irresistible offers
Build instant rapport and trust by delivering 100% free, personalized value directly to their DM inbox
Skyrocket your engagement, followers, and newsletter subscribers on autopilot
But here's the real kicker:
By asking readers to like, comment, and follow, it boosts engagement on your account and kickstarts a viral feedback loop.
A loop in which every new person who performs the CTA boosts your tweet in the algorithm and gets it in front of more eyeballs, many of whom will also perform the CTA.
And the snowball gets bigger and bigger.
Auto-DMs are also the ultimate way to repurpose your content and make it work overtime for you.
Think about it:
You pour your heart and soul into crafting a killer newsletter packed with valuable, game-changing insights.
But once you hit send, its lifespan is shorter than a fruit fly on steroids.
But not with the Auto-DM Funnel.
This simple funnel is the perfect strategy to help you squeeze more followers and subscribers out of your already-written newsletters (for extremely minimal added effort).
By giving away your published newsletters through Auto-DM’s on X, you effectively:
Double the lifespan of your newsletter content and expose it to a whole new audience
Funnel your social media audience to your email list (by gating your newsletters so they have to subscribe to view it)
Turn your newsletter into a lead-generating, revenue-boosting machine
And the best part?
You can automate the entire process with tweet scheduling tools like Typefully (my favorite), Hypefury, or Tweet Hunter.
Just set it and forget it.
But crafting an Auto-DM tweet that actually convinces people to “like, comment, and follow?”
Easier said than done.
You need to push all the right psychological buttons, spark massive curiosity, and promise to solve their deepest desires.
Luckily, that's where my AI prompt comes in.
In the next section, I’ll walk you through step-by-step on how to use the prompt AND set up the entire funnel:
The “Auto-DM Funnel” Prompt
Plug your newsletter topic and target audience into this bad boy, and watch it spit out viral Auto-DM tweets like a charm:
I need help writing a compelling Auto-DM tweet to give away my newsletter and get [TARGET AUDIENCE] to subscribe.
Here's the newsletter:
[INSERT ENTIRE NEWSLETTER]
The tweet should:
Highlight the biggest pain point or desire the newsletter addresses
Tease the mind-blowing solution or insight readers will gain
Create a sense of curiosity and FOMO that makes the offer
irresistible
Include a clear call-to-action to LIKE, COMMENT, and FOLLOW to
receive the newsletter link via DM
Please generate 5 compelling tweet ideas in the following format:
1-2 sentences revealing a bit about the newsletter's solution (the "what") and the mind-blowing results it can help them achieve (the "so what"). Build massive anticipation here.
A clear, punchy CTA as the final sentence that tells them exactly what to do to get the free newsletter (FOLLOW, LIKE, and COMMENT, with a specific related word, abbreviation, or emoji to get the newsletter link via DM).
The CTA sentence should always closely follow this example:
Want it? Follow, like, & comment "NL" — I'll DM it to you.
The tone should be casual, conversational, and empathetic to the target audience's struggles, as if I'm sharing a juicy secret with them.
The tweet should overall tease the giveaway as a valuable system, guide, walkthrough, etc. Dress it up so it sounds enticing.
The tweet should emulate the same format and structure as the examples in the attached pdf (but NOT the actual content substance — just the way it's setup and structured). Do not use any specific numbers, figures, or details mentioned in the PDF, such as earnings or subscriber counts. Instead, focus on capturing the overall style and tone of the examples while creating original content relevant to the newsletter.
Never use emojis or hashtags.
Never mention the word "newsletter" or "email."
Make sure each tweet fits within X's 280-character limit.
HOW TO SET UP THE “AUTO DM FUNNEL”:
Replace “[TARGET AUDIENCE]” with the type of person who’d want to sign up for your newsletter.
Example: “solopreneurs looking for AI-powered online business help”
Copy the entire published newsletter you want to give away and paste it where it says “[INSERT ENTIRE NEWSLETTER].”
Download this swipe file of past viral Auto-DM’s as a PDF and attach it to the prompt (so it helps train Claude / ChatGPT):
Press enter and choose the generated Auto-DM tweet you like most.
Here’s an example of some auto-DM tweets the prompt generated for an old newsletter of mine from last year:
Copy-paste the generated tweet you chose into your tweet scheduler (such as Typefully (my personal favorite), Tweet Hunter, or Hypefury).
Here’s what it looks like inside Typefully:
OPTIONAL: Add a relevant image to the tweet to make it more appealing and eye-catching.
I like to take screenshots of the prompts I give away and blur it, so it opens a curiosity loop in the reader’s mind.
Set up the Auto-DM conditions inside your scheduler.
Here are links to the Auto-DM setup guides for Typefully, Tweet Hunter, and Hypefury.
Write a brief message for the actual DM that will be sent to everyone who performs the CTA (of course, include the link to your newsletter here).
Example:
Gate your newsletter inside your email service provider (I use Beehiiv).
“Gating” requires users to subscribe to your newsletter before they can access your content. Your newsletter remains free, but this tactic converts significantly more subscribers than leaving it ungated (trust me, I’ve tested both). It’ll look something like this for the reader:
Publish your Auto-DM!
Then sit back, relax, and watch as new followers and subscribers come flooding into your content ecosystem.
