Here's an embarrassing confession...

When I first started my business, my homepage looked like it was designed in Microsoft Word. 97.

Pixelated images...

Comic Sans font...

Mismatched colors...you name it.

It was bad. So bad that people would actually ask me:

"Did you make this website yourself?"

I might as well have slapped a sign on my site saying:

"I have no idea what I'm doing!"

Of course, no one took me seriously.

My girlfriend, a designer, looked beyond saying.

After all, we unconsciously judge a book by its cover. If the design looks bad, we assume the product is bad too.
