Why actionable content is essential for any personal brand

Actionable content is the basil to your personal branding pesto:

You can’t create one without it.

Actionable content is so powerful because it provides instant value to your audience.

And this makes them like and trust you more.

The best actionable content is:

  • Specific

  • Competence-proving

  • Easy to understand

But writing actionable content used to take me a lot of time.

So today, I’ll show you two prompts to produce high-quality actionable content in abundance.

What you’ll need to write actionable tweets:

Prompt 1: The Big Dakota Energy Tweet Writer

First up, we got Twitter ghostwriting legend Dakota Robertson’s framework for writing actionable tweets:

The Big Dakota Energy Tweet Writer applies Dakota’s What-Why-How framework to any actionable content idea:

I'd like you to write a 3 actionable tweets about [CONTENT IDEA].

Every tweet should follow the What-Why-How framework, which consists of 3 parts:

"What": The principle explained simply in 7 words or less.

"Why": Logically explains why the "What" is important or true in 7 words or less. Can't begin with "to"

"How": 3 actionable steps on 2-5 words each in bullet points “•” on how to implement the principle from "What" into your everyday life. These should be as specific and actionable as possible.

Here's an example of a tweet written with the What-Why-How framework:

"When writing tweets, use my "What-Why-How" framework.

This simplifies your writing and makes it feel complete.

1st part: state what you're talking about

2nd part: state why it's important

3rd part: give actionable advice on how they can use it

This tweet is an example"

Here are some tweets it gave me:

I grew my Twitter from 0 to 100k in 65 days using my AI content systems

Now I’m creating a course, the AI Audience Accelerator.

It will teach you:

  • How to create a week's worth of content in 1 hour

  • How to create Content that sounds like YOU

  • AI Systems that skyrocketed my growth

I will launch in around 2 weeks.

Prompt 2: The Bullet Bitch Listicle Tweet Writer

Another way to create actionable content is by producing bulleted lists like this:

The Bullet Bitch Listicle Tweet Writer expands any actionable content idea into a bulleted tweet:

Please write 3 bulleted list tweets about [CONTENT IDEA].

Here are the rules for every bulleted list tweet:

1. It must be 280 characters or less.

2. No hashtags, no emojis

3. Start with 1 clear, snappy, declarative sentence that's 8 words or less.

4. 3-5 bulleted list of actionable tips, each one short be 6 words or less.

5. Sort the bullet points in descending order

6. No exclamation marks.

Here’s some actionable bullet lists it gave me:

WHAT YOU LEARNED TODAY

  • Why actionable content is as essential to your brand as basil is to pesto

  • How to use ChatGPT to write Big Di-…eh Dakota Energy actionable tweets

  • How to expand any actionable content idea into a bulleted tweet in 5 seconds with ChatGPT

By the way, these prompts work just as well for writing short LinkedIn posts as for writing tweets, as long as you ensure the hook is as strong as my passion for pesto…

Here’s a little side story:

I wish you all to have the strength and resilience of this cactus. I forgot that I left it in my basement. I was there for 1.5 years. No problem. If you are a Solopreneur, you can encounter these long periods without progress (aka water). Being like a cactus in a desert seems like a good analogy…

Who could have known we would get daily motivation from a cactus?

Keep diving,

Ole
